Mr. Smith: Everyone, lets get started.” First, on the agenda” today, we will have self-introductions. It gives me great pleasure to introduce a new employee, Ms. Eiko Fujita. She recently transferred; here from our Hiroshima subsidiary.’ Well begin with her, and then the rest of you can briefly introduce yourselves. Ms. Fujita, please tell us a little bit” about yourself, your family, and hobbies…

Ms. Fujita: Thank you. As Mr. Smith told you, I am Eiko Fujita and I come from Hiroshima, Japan. Eve been with’” the company for 14 years and am very excited about this opportunity: to live and work in the USA. My position here will be “International Customer Representative,” and I look forward” to working with and getting to know all of you.

I’m joined here by my husband, reiko, and two children, yumi and yoshi, who are aged 12 and 14. The kids” are looking forward to studying at an American school and making American friends. Although they’ve studied English for several years, they’re a bit nervous about keeping up with the rest of the class in English. I’m sure they’ll do just fine.

As a family, we enjoy playing board games. Were avid skiers and cant wait to go skiing this winter. We also enjoy taking drives, hiking in the mountains, and camping.

Mr. Yoko: Yes. As you can see on my card, our regional office is based in Chicago. This is my third year to work at that office. By the way thank you very much for agreeing to meet me here today.
